I dont think it looks as nice as the old 1970 Dodge Challenger, all it is is a brand new design. Obviously a little more tweeks here and there but still the same V8 Hemi engine with the same 426 bhp output.
Course it’s guna be more reliable, better handling because it’s equipped with todays technology!
What I love about the old model is that when you revved it the whole car shook and bounced and thats what makes a muscle car, this new one will just make the awesome sound, with todays limitations on safety it wont shake…
I love those old yank muscle cars. Used to make models of them in my younger days and top paint job was always orange! Always fancied a Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger or Plymouth T Bird. That new Challenger looks awesome, an icon that might actually be driveable!
Bloody hell, i really need to win the lottery Very nice car, wonder if it goes round corners though, without the passengers getting sick with the amount of roll yank cars have
My first car was a 73 Dodge Duster similar to this car, same color except my roof was white with white buckets seats. It had a 440 in it with Holley carbs and a Hurst shifter. The way that thing used to sit a stoplight and idle (the V8 used to go brruuup, brruup , brruup) and rock frm side to side with all that power in the engine was something else, and as soon as you stomped on gas, that roaring sound and the rubber that you layed down …still brings a smile to my face, For me as a 18 yr old it was like i had the ultimate ass-kicker for all those european sport cars. The thing used to burn 5 bucks worth of gas just warming up in the driveway and when i bought it frm this guy it cost me a cool 1000 dollars (which in the 80’s was a heck of alot of money for a 70’s used car)
This thread made me go down memory lane so had to look up a video, heres’ how it used to sound like (obviously this has been modified for the stripo, but damm!! it used to idle just like this video one ) Geez i miss that car!
