Just like this - just think of all the crap they would spot everyday - cagers on mobiles, dangerous driving, red light jumpers etc etc.
I think London should do much more of this

im ok with that! :hehe:
I love the sentence… ‘It carries 3 demerit points’… It’s a traffic violation, not Dungeons and Dragons!!!
Love the idea…for London anyway, but anyone who’s been to Oz recently will know that it’s one of the fastest growing police states out there. In the big cities civil liberties are practically zero…seriously you can’t scratch your arse without some cop coming and telling you it’s illegal. And most of us wouldn’t have licences anymore if we rode how we do over here. I remember one time trying to drive to a place 250 miles from Melbourne and the max speed limit was like 50kph the WHOLE way, with some jobsworth with a radar gun every 10ks.
5/1 odds on seeing MotoKing deported back here within 6 weeks!
Was there last year for 4 months. We rented a campervan for a stretch and the guy was totally amazed when it showed we had attained NO speeding tickets at all. Hidden radar cars everywhere over there.
If a similar scheme started over here i’d be all in favor. But it wouldn’t add to the cagers love of motorcyclists much.
I got stung for speeding while over there on my shitty auld roller-door that I had. Huge fine for being slightly over the limit.
More bike cops? Naaah! Every time I’ve seen a bike cop in London they’re usually dragging along at least 6 or 7 bikes behind them, all wishing the ****** wasn’t there so they can all make proper progress again.
They already do, but the problem is that a lot of the money goes on putting PCSO’s on three wheelers and they can’t deal with most offences.
More of this in London - judging by the number of nobbers I see driving around on the phone & cyclists running red lights on my commute, it’d pay for itself in fines within the first hour of a shift.
**** that, they would nick you for just pulling away from the traffic light GP:w00t:
there wouldnt be so much fun & games on the way to and from work?
I’m cycling to work at the moment anyway - I don’t do very well in the traffic light GP
I’d probably get done for revving at girls or something like that. Probably considered anti social behaviour.
and just as likely to target motorycles !!! cans, number plates, visors, bad , riding in cycle lanes, going into cycle boxes etc…
was in Oz last year and spoke to a honda dealer, he said most of the bike dealers had stopped selling sports bikes over 600cc as the police are on them all the time, any hint of speeding or ASB , ‘Hooning’ and its big fine and confisction of bike !!!
be careful what you wish for .
