I need to change my tyres… My motorcycle has 5k on the clock…is that too soon or is normal?
Also being a novice and a girl I have no idea in which tyres to choose…
I use my Hornet 2009 to commute everyday to work and the occasional day trip…
Any suggestions?

I’ve had Michelin Pilot 2s on my Hornet since I bought it in 2008. 7600 ish miles and still going strong. They’re fine commuting tyres.
Difficult one to answer without seeing them!!! Depends on what sort of riding you’ve been doing.You just really need to ask someone to have a look for you.
get someone who knows what they’re talking about to look at them, if they need doing change em, they are the bit that sticks you to the road after all!!
Michelin pilot road 2 Very good all year round Tyres…
michelin pilot road 2ct if you have budget, or sigle compound pilot road for less, but still very good tyres…

Michelin Pilot 2cts- power, pure or road.
or as mentioned, normal non 2ct Pilot Roads are cheap and good, used on my courier bike no probs gettign knee or peg down.
i also used continental attacks whiel couriering, absolutely brillaint tyres, second only to the 2ct’s;)
Are you sure they need changing…my Hornet uses the supplied Michelin Pilots and I’ve got loads of tread and I’m on 5300 miles??
