Honda Deauville

Hi

Im looking for a commuter bike as im a bit of a fair weather rider at the moment (Haven’t always been) and I dont clean my bike as often as I should.

So I am looking at getting a second hand run around hence the subject title !!!

Is there anything I should be looking out for ?

Cheers

Chaz :hehe:

Honda CB500 should fit bill nicely. Just lather it in ACF50 (but not the brakes/discs!) and ride it.

Arghhhhhh not a CB500. First bike and alot of bad memories. :w00t: Not enough protection from the elements. I do around 40 miles a day on motorway.

Thanks anyway

Kinnel. Your asking a lot from near zero information.

So what is your commute? All suburban? Motorway? A road? See what I mean?

I could do my commute very well on a Honda Cub. I wonder why I don’t? Um. Common sense? 650 cc is so much easier?

Roughly, what are you wanting of this beast?

the Deauville will do everything you want, it has good weather protection, good storage and years of development to give it reliability, most people who knock them have never/would never ride them, its an ideal “get on and ride regardless” bike.

Got to endorse Kenny

O.K. It’s also called the “Dullsville”, but so what? There’s a time for sensible and a winter commute is one of those.

Good all around bike which will tick a lot of boxes. Should be some bargains around as this year, honda brought out a new version giving it an extra 50cc.
