CRF’s are basically race bikes, so they need race bike maintaince. Visordown honda types will be able to help you more or if you don’t wanna register, go to the “Which supermoto” sticky and that should help.
I think although don’t quote me, you are looking at 300 mile oil changes, prob double for filters and I have heard some scary 30 hour piston life stories
but that could be bollox and most people use em as race bikes.
Personally for an only bike I wouldn’t, but the bike would do it as long as you keep on top of it. As a sunny sunday toy, maybe, as a race bike sure
If its for off road I have heard that CRFs are a scary first bike
Make note of the DRZ behind it! Beter option I recon but then you know I am biased.
Chalk and cheese though, depending on what the guy whats. A DRZ is an easy going off road bike, a CRF is a banzai nutter with an axe
If it was for me and it involved off roading then I’d take the DRZ, but then I’m crap off road.
