The CBF 125 was bought out by Honda to replace their CG 125 range.If you are in the market for a cheap to buy and run learner bike for commuting you will not go far wrong with this little bike.
I bought a brand new one in April 2009 for my 18 year old son for less than £2000 and have found the bike to be excellent.
My son thrashes the arse out the little thing and still returns over 120 mpg and has even been out on day rides with dad and his mates and covered 170 miles in a day.
Build quality seems to be of a pretty good standard and in the 3 months my son has had his has covered 1,300 miles and hasnt missed a beat.
My son manages to squeeze 75-80 mph laid on the tank but i seem to get a more sedate 65-70 sat normally with my 14 stone frame .
We have also been out on this little bike two up my son and i and still it managed about 55 mph and felt stable .
