Honda CB600F - £950

Hi,

1999 Honda CB600F Hornet
About 42k miles on the clock
3-4 previous MOT’s to verify mileage
New tyres, C&S and recently been serviced.
Black rear & front mudguard, yellow tank.
Road legal Beowulf can (removeable baffle)
V5c available, in my name.
At least 10 months MOT and at least 5 months TAX.

Rides great and wants for nothing as I use it daily. However I use it in day time - see below…

However, there are a few items;

Could really benefit from a new battery, particularly if you ride at night.
The rear lock doesn’t work. (its proper fucked but can open it with a screwdriver if necessary)

A proper hoot to ride, hooligans bike etc etc. I love it but it’s not the best winter bike for me. I’m picking up a BMW F650 Funduro on Saturday so £950 secures. No offers. Located in Egham. Could possibly deliver locally (within South East) if travel costs are reimbursed.

Thanks.

Has it ever been written off?

no idea. i recommend interested buyers to hpi. no scuffs on engine casings, plastics or tank to suggest ever sliding down the road.

benefit from a new battery if you ride at night? sounds like you got a charging problem there…

Hi

Apologies it’s the reg/rec. I have a replacement on order which will solve the issue (determined as it reads well over 14.5V at 5k RPM)

I just didn’t know if it’s going to arrive in time or not for any potential buyers. Should have it sorted by Saturday.

Sale postponed

Lending it to a work mate for a few weeks use. Will be back on sale in December perhaps.

Has your mate still got it?
Have a friend looking for one of theses

I might also be in the market since mine was nicked… could do with another bike to tide me over for a good few months…

See other advert  But yes, I’d take £950.

Now on eBay for £1099

Love the hornet insect colour scheme - the black tail unit and the yellow tank and the black clocks.

Did you do that yourself?

Very unintentional to be honest! I painted the mudguard and rear panels matt black and would have done the tank too but I ran out of paint lol

That’s reallly funny! - the two colours in combination, black and yellow, are really effective - even more so because of the way they hint at the bikes name (I like the way you blacked the clocks and the chrome on the headlight too).

Im restoring my rusty winter hack 98 hornet this summer - I think I might copy your colour scheme if that’s okay!

More than welcome! I was actually going to paint the tank grey which I think would have looked good too.
