I read in another forum that someone was tonking down an A road - pitch black when the next thing they know an invisible hand pulled them off the bike and flung em into a bush… that was (I think ) near Thetford… When they woke up they found they had hit a black leather sofa that was sideways across the road - and in the dark it was invisible…
Now I just read this from the a US rider…
going seventy five down i-17 last night, sharing a lane with a friend of mine, i hit a couch square on. neither of us saw it, but he had time to react as i was on the inside of the lane…with nowhere to go. the amazing thing is i stayed up…bars went lock to lock a few times, couch actually splintered and shot across a lane…it was amazing.
anyways, after pulling over for a quick inspection (this was at midnight), i realized that my forks are out of alignment (no big deal, a readjustment), but my front rim is bent. its bad enough that it’s noticable, but isnt unridable under 40-ish.
What is going on?
Are our soft furnishings secretly plotting against us???
Is YOUR comfy armchair planning to sneak out a midnight and slaughter the next Gixxer rider who comes along???
Are they like the Daleks - controlled by an evil mastermind??? And one day we will wake up and see that they have taken over.???
Or is it a bunch of ****ty ****ing Chavs mindlessley putting all of our lives at risk …for “a laugh”
It’s scum, probably drunk scum who think it’s amusing to put dumped objects into the middle of the road, with no consideration as to the fact they could very well kill or maim someone. I saw a group of drunk idiots recently stagging down the road at night, then about two hundred yards up the road I see three cones parked across each lane (twin carraigeway), placed to take someone out.
I stopped and pulled them out of the road, but left the goons.
Think thats bad? Get this?..kids, and no one older than 14, standing each side of road each holding thin wire or string/rope, waiting for a cyclist or biker to find out if it will knock em off !!! When approached by member of the public, and told to piss off…couldnt understand what the fuss was all about and took to shouting,swearing and threatening him…at that instant, i wished it was legal to shoot the little barstewards!
That’s attempted murder in my book. Think I might have to move to Texas. If the legal system doesn’t get them and fry them you can always rely on “Gladys”. lol.
the problem is though they think it is funny, and think that a car os going to hit it… But what about us bikers brainless idiots and they will get away with it as well because in a dark back road no one will ever see them…
