Evening all!
I bought my CBR in June this year and it only came with one key and unfortunately not the key numberplate.
I’m wondering if any of you know if it’s possible to get a new key made without the key numberplate as long as I have all the registration papers and the current working key?
I was told getting a new HISS fitted would be rather costly so I’d try to avoid that if possible

I don’t think there is a Key plate with HISS, hope not cos I haven’t got one.
My understanding is that all the dealer needs to setup a new key is the bike with a working key and around £50.
So get yourself another made before you lose this one. If you don’t have a working key, then it gets very expensive.

You were right, just had a brief chat with Motoden where they told me it could do be done in an hour for £55.
Oh, and they also told me a new HISS was £1100 :w00t:
