Have been a regular(ish) at Chelsea Bridge (RIP), the Ace, Soho, etc for a several years since moving to London. Squires Milk Bar was my usual haunt before then, so yep, I’m a Yorkshireman!!

quick question re: chelsea bridge… what happened to that meet? i never went to it but a mate was talking to me about it this weekend like it was still going?
It was shut down. Another case of stupidity by the councils. Everyone knew of the meet, it’d been there for nearly a hundred years, yet up go the flats and of course the residents then start complaining to the council/police about the noise on Friday nights and so the Police came down and moved everyone on, threatening them with prosecution if they didn’t obliged.
The residents knew of the meet before they moved in, yet they still complained? Selfish lot. So 100 years of bike meet disappears because of some new flats.
