I have heard LondonBikers mentioned a few times so have decided to check it out. I only recently took up motorcycling in order to do a charity ride this December plus it was the logical progression after getting around London first on my rollerblades and then by bicycle.
So far so good. Learning to ride over this last winter has meant that it has been a positive joy to ride during the summer. I should have listened
One of the best things I have found about biking is how friendly the motorcycle community is. I just realised that I missed the newbie night but I hope to make it to the next one.
Ciao for now,
Annette
ps. I don’t ride a sports bike – instead I ride a bmw f650 – am I still allowed on the site?
Dang, DA, you’re REAL fast now the crutches have gone! Haven’t managed to get to a SINGLE newbie before you! Poor things, we’ll be recognisable at the Newbie meet not by the terrified looks on our faces but by the bruises all over us!
Hoping to make it to the November Newbie meet, Annette if you go you certainly won’t be the only newbie or the only non-sports bike rider. Welcome.
Hey Annette, welcome to LB! It doesn’t matter what you ride, LB is for riders, not bikes! All are welcome, even Ginger. Hope to see you at Cubana tonight?
Well hello good evening and welcome to this post. I’m angryjonny and a few of you had the misfortune of meeting me last night at Cubana where I was going by my “real life” name of Jon. I came along with Annette to offer moral support but ended up cowering quietly in the shadows because (as I tend to find out in situations such as that) I’m a social retard. However, in situations like this where I can hide behind the anonymity of an internet pseudonym I tend to be much louder. Just as long as no-one finds out my real name, or the fact that I live in Ealing.
Damn.
Anyway, I thought I’d tag myself onto Annette’s “Hi There” thread because I’m not worthy of a thread of my own. Yes I am. I am great. No, I suck. My personality is placid but my self-esteem is bi-polar and fuelled mainly by alcohol.
This disappointing first-post has been brought to you by the word “dreary”, the colour beige and the politician John Selwyn Gummer. Thank you and good night.
