Glad I made ya laugh!!! Especially after a pooey day…
Hope it’s not going to take too long to fix d bike man?!?!
My friend Serena and I had a really good day today… We went for a rideout to Eastbourne, then onto Hastings. Stayed there and had a lovely Fish & Chips lunch… Nothing like a bit of saturated fat on a Monday!!! Took some really silly photo’s on the beach… Then rode to Ashford in Kent to pay a suprise visit to my parents… A quick blat up the motorway and back into town…
Ashford Kent?!?!?! Thats where I was brought up and lived for years!! I was born in Geenwich, London and then we moved to Ashford and then down to Hamstreet which is just out of ashford towards the Romney Marsh!!! Small world eh!!
Great Pics… arr the Deluxe Leisure… memories… I still have family in ashford and folkstone…
All the bits are ordered for the bike now… wiring loom and coils on way… just need to get it fitted and test ridden before i head over on the 30th!!! fingers crossed!
Too small…Rode back through Hamstreet today, bought back a few memories!!! I grew up in Kennington from the age of 7ish! Went to school at the Towers… Caused havock… Knew practically everyone… Or should I say that everyone knew either my brothers or I… Bit of a small town… Used to know quite a lot of people from Hamstreet… Flippin Mentle in’it!!
Hmm… I’m getting flash backs lol… I lived in Hamstreet for about 14 years… on Romney Road… do you remember the the Dukes Head? and Duncan Bowen (spelling?)… I bet we’ve probably passed lol… I reckon you’ve know my other bruv’s and sister as well… hmmm… I might start getting quiet now! lol
I’m so jealous that I couldn’t come Great pics though! Hrm, well I’ve got Monday and Tuesday off work next week for my birthday, if it’s not severe hang-over territory, maybe we can do something.
Floyd… A guy that I went out with for a couple of years when I was 15, his parents used to own the Dukes Head… Then they owned (and still do) Harmony Hall and Orlestone Lodge as old peoples homes… Tis a crazy world we live in… Spose we’ll do the,. I know who you do thing when you get here at end of t month…
Hope all goes well with getting the bike back on the road!!!
Jay… yeah, shame you wern’t there… See if I get time later to put some more photos up here… Next time eh!!!
Really! One of my bro’s was regularly barred from the Dukes, mainly for being underage and then later on in life for breaking things like the outside toilets lol…They all used to be big into bikes and my sis, used to ride a huge z750… and she’s tiny. Man I loved Hamstreet as a kid… We always used to go fishing for shopping trolleys and old bikes in the canal!
The first time I ever went on the back of a bike (130mph) was in Hamstreet, It was on that Boyfriends, sisters husbands!!!.. His name was Duncan… A total nutter… they used to live in the small estate behind the village hall… I bet it was Mick (Fat ******) and Sylvia Rogers that barred your bro!
This is getting better… My bro was best mates with a guy called duncan… he broke my pogo stick and threw a ball of clay at me in the park where the village hall was… My bro is aclled Julian (also known as Ju, huli and Phoo… )
I accidently staye dat the pub all afternoon… I drink like a 7year old girl thats allergic to beer… and 10 corona;s later… i’;m feeling a little worse for wear… and they ran out of lime!!!
