found the forum by chance while looking for articles about my bike…
I’m AL…I live in S.E.London …I’ve just recently got back into bikes after a 17 year break …
I went out and bought myself a project bike but I’m enjoying riding it for the time being …
I got a zzr1100 c1 to restore and just add my own touches to …
looking forward to getting back into riding …AL…

I’m going to be taking pics as I go, I also post on the zzr owners forum …
here she is, although she’s de-stickered and semi naked now
I will open up a thread when I start work on her, she’s running at the moment and I’m just enjoying riding… I will be looking at changing a few things on her so will be looking for a bit of help or suggestions on how to get or make the custom parts I want …

not sure what you mean ??? …but I haven’t had any probs in the rain with her, although I’ve only been caught out a couple of times by the rain, I’m a fair weather rider now days …AL…

Friday night bike meet :ermm:
Used to get some proper crazy fools, bike porn and eye candy out there on a Wednesday evening.
I make an appearance every 9,000 miles or so for a brew and a chat.
hi ya … I used to go up there years ago after Chelsea bridge or Heston on a Friday night …
anywhere with open space and bikes can get crazy …
one night my mate decided he wanted to ride his bike on the common at 2am all was good until he found a hole and shot over the bars …didn’t do his forks any good either … we couldn’t stop laughing for ages
Now when you say years ago how far back are we going?
In the early 1970’s, which was probably the dawn of the Motorway and Motorway Service Area, the place to be late on a Friday/Saturday night was Scratchwood Services on the M1, now London Gateway. Where you’d rub shoulders with the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and then some.
Other highlights of a Friday/Saturday night at Scratchwood would include Café Racing, running battles between football fans and the last of the Mods & Rockers shenanigans, it didn’t all happen in Brighton.
nooooo not that far back … I used to go from about 88 to the late 90’s …
I got my first bike in 86 when I was 18 …the era of the RD LC :rolleyes:
