I’ve met some of you at the Ali Pali show and at the cafe which I can’t remember the name of near Waterloo but this is my first time posting on the site (“Insurance Shocker” in the Help and Advice section).
Currently riding an SV650S but just bought a new ZX636 which I’m struggling to insure as my insurance company are withholding my first years NCB! If anyone has any suggestions, this would be much appreciated!
Well when i went from my RS125 @ 650 third party fire and theft with a local firm, to my CBR6 with 3points and 1 claim the lowest quote i was getting was £1500 (these were all online quotes) so i thought (with two days to go before picking up my baby) I’d try a company that doesn’t do online quotes, first call - Carol Nash £675 fully comp - NICE! I nearly bit his arm off down the phone (good trick if you can do it!)
Hello and welcome to LB. I wish you luck with the insurance but if you can not prove 1 years NCB you may be struggling for anything like a decent quote on the new bike.
I’ll go with that, welcome, nice bike the kwak, more roomy than most, hope it’s the right colour ? (that’d be green).
As to insurance, well all I can say is get old, for some reason they believe you get slower and charge you less multi bike (six) TPFT + legal + recovery = £203 SE post code.
welcome to the family as for insurance i was quoted ridiculous amounts for the benelli i am 37 with no bonus so the best i was getting fully comp was £1500…so i tried ebike insurance on the net went down to £666 fully comp…how can companies charge such different rates?
I’m on my first bike … I was allowed to take 1 years NCB across from my scooter to my new CBR600F. Cheapest I got (and bought) was £960 fully comp for a Inner SE London address (garaged).
