Hello all, been lurking around the site for the past couple of months and thought it would be courteous of me to introduce myself.
My name is Sergio, I work in Shoreditch and just recently moved to South East London (where all the action is at!). I used to ride back home in Portugal about 7 years ago and decided to get back into riding 2 years ago. Unfortunately, I found out that my license isn’t valid over here as I did it when I was 18 and should have taken a test over there when I was 21 to make it a full license…buzzkill!
So I started from scratch, did my CBT in 2008 and got myself a 125cc cruiser as I couldn’t afford to do my DAS at the time. That lasted a year and I got rid of it as I needed the money to move to London which was probably the biggest mistake ever as I decided to keep the car and bring it to London. After driving around in a car in London for a year I’ve finally had enough and want to get back on a bike!
So yes, as my CBT ran out, 3 month’s ago I did it yet again. Only this time I’m not faffing around and doing the DAS. I could already be on a bike but failed on the last hurdle 3 week’s ago when doing the MOD2…
Gonna give it another go in a couple of week’s though and hopefully meet some of you guys and gals on the road soon!
