Help with choosing & buying a track bike

Can you help with advice on different options for a track bike please?

Some 37 years and 100,000 bike miles after getting my licence I finally did a bike track day and now I’m hooked. I want to do loads more before either I get too senile or my ex-wife takes the rest of my money.

Some relevant things:
I’ve done one bike track day (Brands on 30 Sep) so I’m firmly a novice.
I want to do some 10-12 track days a year with, say, Cadwell as my farthest track.
I’m now 54, 5’7" with a 30" inside leg & 11 stone so the maximum size for me is a 750, at least for now.
I have a Triumph TT600 road bike that I’ll keep - it suits me, has been completely repainted in a bespoke colour scheme and has a proper pillion seat for my gf.
I’ve always wanted a Triumph 675 but it’s not for me as my only roadbike mainly due to having a fashion accessory where the pillion seat should be.
I also need a trailer (cheaper than hiring vans) and the whole supporting kit (eg paddock stands).
I want to enjoy myself rather than be fast, but catching and overtaking people is fun.
I want a bike that I can ride, maintain & prepare easily.
Suitability and value are much more important than cost (I’ve got the money, at least until my ex gets her hands on it, but I don’t throw money around)

Some questions:
When is the best time to buy a track bike - now, the end of the year or the start of this year?

Is it better to get a road bike and adapt it for track use (as it would be simpler to set up and could be used off track) or get a dedicated track bike.

Potential bikesUsing the as examples of potential bikes rather than an individual bike to buy, what advice can you give on their suitability and their going purchase rate (so that I can judge other bikes against them) - pm me if you think that’s better than posting.
I’ve identified some bikes on eBay:

Triumph 675 road/track bike: 2006 Road Bike (it’s in gold so matches ish my TT600)

Triumph 675 road/track bike: 2010 Road Bike(newer than the above)

Triumph 675 track only bike: 2010 ex-Superstock (plenty or room as I improve but may be too complicated for me)

Triumph 675 track only bike: 2006 Track 675 (cheaper & less complicated than above)

Example 600 track only bike: Old 600 Track (better for me/cheaper?)

Example 750 track only bike: Old 750 Track Bike (better for me/cheaper?)

personally I’d go with an old fireblade. they’re plentiful and the parts are pretty easy to find. either that or an old cbr600.
if you can use a spanner, get yourself down to a breakers yard and see what write-offs they have available, ideally something with scratched up fairings that you’ll be replacing for a track fairing anyway.

time to buy would be in the winter when people aren’t using their bike and thinking about selling it. after xmas especially when the festive credit card bill has landed and people need money fast.

Around now is the time to buy it seems , friend just bought a 2009 RSV4 for £6000 …luck effin welsh ****** in the right place at the right time :angry:

But an older cbr 600 is a good choice …lots of cheap spares is what you want .
