Hello, I was wondering if you could help a fellow biker in need.
I would like recommendations of lovely sceneic roads i could ride with a pillion around Hertfordshire. My pillions 1st time on a bike so i think a trip to the south east coast (which is where i usually ride too) on the back of my Black Spirit wouldn’t be so much fun for her. im thinking about an hours nice drive to a country pub with good food and then drive back to london.
(A bit boring to start with but you have to get out of London somehow)
Get yourself to Elstree by the best way possible, then take the A5183 to Park Street, then A081 to swerve most of St Albans, pick up the B651 via Sandridge, Wheathampstead & Kimpton to Hitchin. A lovely little old town, you can park on the square behind the outdoor coffee tent, loads of restaurants & olde worlde pubs there.
ok who viewed this thread just because of the title and thefact that jets have replied and to be astonished if not dismayed to find that they haveactually made a worthwhile contribution and not smutted it up
For something completely different - why not a late night central London sightseeing tour? If it is her first time she might hate it/want off … and at least if that happens in the middle of town, she can get a bus/tube back home as if nothing happened … compared with it happening in the middle of a set of twisties where all she can do is close her eyes and hope she pray she gets home safe? Tower 42/Gherkin/St Pauls/Tower Bridge/Embankment/London Eye/Big Ben/Parliment Square/Battersea Power Station/Parliment Square/Whitehall/Trafalgar Square/Buckingham Palace/Leicester Square and back again … is roughly(ish) my favourite route … easy to string them all together … taken a few friends as their first pillion ride … smiles all round
off to a gig in the evening so wont be the sight seeing but it does sound like a good plan for the future. thanks to you and jet for the suggestions, and not saying up the…
