Heya guys and gals, me and a few mates are planning a charity ride for the summer so we have plenty of time for organising things.
We need our finish point so we can come up with a route and dates. We want to auction the bikes off at the end so thought it would be great to finish at a bike show. Does anyone know of any motorbike shows/events that are on around july/august time?

Once we get things rolling i’ll be asking for even more help from all LB’ers. We have got lots of ideas of what we want to do.
We want to do it for both Help For Heroes (cause im in the forces) and Cancer Research (most of us know someone close who has had cancer)
we dont have a starting point or anything yet. We where just discusing it all last nite. Basicaly how it came about was a few of the lads did the Barcelona Banger Race last year which was a race to barcelona in a car with a value of 200 quid, then just talking the other day one of the guys sugested we do a ride round the UK. One of the lads raised 600 quid for cancer research doing the BBR but it wasnt a set charity event. I wana try make this a big a thing as we can and raise shed loads for the 2 charities.
Before we set out a starting point and route we want to know if there is a bike show/event around july/august that we can use as our finish point.

Both look like good places to finish. The southwest would give us more time to get things set and im wondering with the one in blackpool being a new show if there will be a good a turnout as at the southwest one. Obviously we want the best turnout so there’s a chance of more people bidding on the bikes.
Got to talk it over with the others first but i think the show in Blackpool would be best and we could start off from the Ace Cafe and go up the east coast round and back down abit to blackpool. If we do this route im expecting a good send off from all you LB’ers
We need a name for it… so far we have ‘The wrong way up’
After a discussion in our meeting room(the pub ) we have decided to go for ending it at the show in blackpool on the 24th july and starting it on the 17th july from the Ace Cafe. We are picking points of interest to stop off at wlong the route, the first being a war museum round dover way.
Should hopefully have the final route set out by the end of the week so we can start the next step
