Help - Bike Transport

Hi all,I did myself a favour and bought a new bike :w00t: .

But now a problem arises. I dont have a car and neet to pick it up from Swansea.

Does anyone have an idea what the most cost effective way of doing so is?

  • Maybe one of you guys lives out there and has a van and commutes to London …

  • Maybe someone has a company with a Van and would drive there with me on the weekend …

  • Maybe someone has other ideas!

Any help would be much appreciated and i would certainly pay for any costs.

Cheers,

REvo

train there and ride bike back would be the cheapest option i reckon.

You are right rocker, but I dont have my leather and helmet yet … and I cant get it that quickly.

For a single journey on a new bike, you don’t need the dogs b.ll…s of gear.

You can get a Sharp rated helmet in a supermarket (always handy to have as a spare), layer up the clothing and any stout footwear with ankle protection and some decent leather gloves will do.

Just take things a bit steady, it’s a new bike anyway, and stay off the motorways. (There a real bore in any case.)

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but people, including me, did ride motorcycles without all this fancy purpose made gear once upon a time.
