I have to admit to an ulterior motive in joining London Bikers. I have just signed up to do the ‘Rickshaw Run’ in 2012, it raises funds for local charities and races a rickshaw across Rajasthan and this is where I have a slight problem. The rickshaw is powered by a:
Engine: 2 stroke, single cylinder, forced air cooled
Engine Size: 145.45cc
Power: 7HP at 5000 rpm
Torque: 12.17 Nm at 3500 rpm
Transmission: 4 forward, 1 reverse
Brakes: Hydraullic expanding shoe
Fuel Capacity: 8 ltr
Top Speed: 55kmph
and it would be more than a little useful to know how a similar bike works, be able to change a wheel, chain, how to mix the petrol & oil etc. And having looked into courses all I could find are ones that last for 2 years or are not for this level of idiocy…
So I wondered, if anyone could provide me with any advice/links to courses or books that would be useful to get.
