I did a search for tyres and up popped londonbikers. Who knew? As I live in SE22, I thought this place might be more relevant than the sport-touring site I’ve been frequenting that’s based in the USA.
I ride a 2002 FJR1300. I love nothing more than touring with my wife. We’ve been to most of England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany (west), Spain and Italy.
I ride year-round in London when I commute, not for pleasure. I hate to count how many times I’ve been knocked off in rush hour traffic over the last 20 years. The last time was the worst, causing £6,000 worth of damage. I’ve managed to walk away from all of them. Still, I don’t think anyone will be asking me for any riding tips!
I do like a beer. I might pop along soon to the Brazen Head and see who else likes a beer. Don’t be surprised when you are approached by a brazen American. The accent is like a tattoo, I’m afraid, but I’m harmless.
