Hello all - and a question....

Hi All, new to this forum but have heard about it through various sources, so decided it was time to sign up!

I ride an old Thundercat for commuting but think that’s about to be upgraded to clean looking early R1 I’ve found, just weighing up how appropriate it is for the task! I also have a K4 750 for the track and fun stuff which leads me to my question…

Stupidly I low sided the Gixer a while back on cold tyres on a roundabout (not very bright I know…)

No real damage done but the right hand fairing scuffed up a bit, making the bike look tatty on that side. Does anyone know of a good repair shop, preferably in south west london that might be able to restore the fairing? Its mainly scuffs with one small hole (about 5mm). Or I am I better off just waiting for a clean one to come up on eBay?

I would be grateful for any advice or experiences people have had?

Look forward to meeting some of you all soon!

Welcome to LB

hi and welcome

Hello, Welcome to LB

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Hi mate
welcome to LB and merry christmas:D

Welcome and commiserations on the accident…I know how that feels :(In my experience, if it’s just the one panel, sometimes it’s the same price to buy it new from the manufacturer than to have a high quality repair done.

If you can wait for one to appear though, ebay is likely the most cost effective solution.

Try Bats Motorcycles in kent, they were able to look at my bike and its an import, if thats too far, try Metropolis in Vauxhall.

Thx guys will follow up as you mention…
