hello, a bit about me.

I am a born again biker…got back into biking about 3 years ago after 15 year lay off, am 50 ish going on 20…with a brand new 600 bandit, then got my KH500 working after 20 years in the gargae, then bought a GT750 and a GT550 and three GT380’s and KH 400, then an RGV 250 and an RG 250 a KR-1s and a Kr1…and a bunch of crap chinese pit bikes for my boys to play with…And then…I bought my red 2006 R1…wow…what a bike… I bent all 20 valves at 6000 miles and had to have it rebuilt…hmm not my fault they did it under warranty…put me off it for a while…but

Also got myself a ram 250 quad, crap on the road, great off…

Go-karting is my speed fix or it was until last Monday when I did my first brands hatch day…wow that was fun, now looking for a bike to take onto the track for a bit of cheap easy going racing…think i will start with a 400 or 600 for the track…am on the lookout…

also collect a few military trucks, have a stalwart, fully amphibious 10 ton truck and three zil 131’s and some other toys argocats scott tracks etc etc etc…but biking is my real passion.

Live in Alton hampshire so am a bit out of london but my land (200 acres) is in guildford…

Looking to slowly get more two strokes, but this race bike bug may have got me so we will see

Three kids, a dog, fish in and out, ex wife (dont talk about her) a gardener, DIY, not keen on working on bikes though oh and I do ballroom and latin dance. I swim long and hard…and I generally do a lot of stuff, but when the sun shines I am on my bikes…

Hello and welcome,

Well you certainly have or have had a wide range of vehicles

See you down the cafe one day

Top geezer, this is the nutcase who actually allowed me to have a go on his R6 and then on his R1!

Welcome, you lovely nutcase, you!

yes never been to the Ace Cafe…I do our local one at the railway station Alton…big meet when the suns up, on a Wednesday evening, anything from 200 to 400 bikes on a good day…

All the stuff I mentioned I still have…bought them to play with. The two strokes are mostly rideable and road legal although a few are in a state of repair or rebuild or awaiting rebuild…

But thanks for the welcome trisckie…

Welcome to LB!

I was on about the Alton Cafe, its on my list …

Hi Chocciemuffin,

Glad to hear from you…

How do i get pictures of me stuff on here…

paul

ah okay have you been down there before…what you riding. I usually take my GT750 kettle, or one of the other two strokes…dont often go on the R1, as I have to get all my gear on and it is a pain for just a ride of less than a mile…

thanks justin,

what Kwaker you got…thinking of getting a 600 or 636 for the track to have a bit of fun…

The R1 is good but too fast and too bloody dangerous with me riding…had three tail slides and one very big high side that threw me up in the air and luckily back onto the bike…close to totaling the thing so will use a less powerful, less expensive toy next time…

The 636 everyone raves about…

Paul

hey anyone know when I get my membership activated. I signed up yesterday and was expecting an email but nought has arrived as yet…

Hi, it’s the one in my avatar pic - a 2001 ZX6 model. I’d highly recommend one. The bike’s fast, I am not though!

hiya welcome to lb!!

howdy and welcome!

Hi Matey & Welcome to LB!

Posting Images

To post images you must either attach them via the ‘add attachment to this post’ feature at the bottom on the message screen (although this has been playing up recently), or host the images on a web server / photo host and post a link using ‘img’ codes.

Activating your Account

First thing I would do is check you have entered the correct e-mail address in your profile (enter via the control panel - top right), if that is correct, post a message in the ‘Site Issues & News’ section where I am sure Jay or another member of staff who has access will sort it for you!

Hope this help!

Welcome Fella

Don’t worry about activation… Ive been on here months and still not had my email

“what Kwaker you got…thinking of getting a 600 or 636 for the track to have a bit of fun…”

Paul,

You could do alot worse than getting a zx7r as track bike, quick enough, real stable platform to learn and great number of Canadian owners on the redmonkey 7r site

Welcome BTW

Hey

Welcome to LB!!!

s’up dood . . . welcome to LB

that was my first thought a zx7r…and they are cheap…but the 636 gets a great deal of attention…but I guess to be fair the idea of the 7r has me for sure…

Thnaks for the tip as that will likely push me to action…

Thanks gazza,

You were right email was wrong, must have been having a rather dyslexic moment…
