Hi everyone i was pointed toward this site buy one of your members today at a set of traffic lights in dulwich,He was commenting on the noise of my exhausts saying that they where a great sound, they are a twin set of scorpion underseat carbon oval (set like ducati style)i ride a 05 naked fazer and i must admit they do look tasty!
The thing that worries me is that at the moment the baffles are removed and i know that they should be inserted but at the risk of getting a fine and a couple of points they have actually saved me on more than a few occasions on getting knocked off, as i approach any car, lorry bus or hurse they hear me before even seeing what that noise from the bowles of hell actually is, as they look in thier mirrors expecting to see the four horseman of the apocolypse, it is in fact some overwieght lard arse on his fazer600! joking aside since fitting these pipes people do hear you and polightly move over (or is that because they take both hands of the wheel to cover their ears!)
I am a very new newbe and i would like to meet up on a wednesday meet for a natter, so any details would be appreciated
Hello and welcome to LB mate. We meet on Wednesday nights at the Cubana by Waterloo station. You would probably be pretty unlucky to get tugged for the cans, just try and be sensible, especially when you see jam…
Hi and welcome, in regard to your cans dont worry to much. If you ride like a twat then you will probably get some attention however ride sensible and you will ride without to much interest. As long as everthing else is in order with the bike you probably wont even see my colleuges. The legislation has changed recently anyway, as long as it dosen’t say not for road use on the cans you will normaly escape any points or FPN. I have race cans fitted to the GSX and it was MOT’D at the beginning of the month. The mot tester say,s as long as it does not make his ears bleed it was a pass. So just take it easy when we are about and you should be fine as long as who ever deals with you has common sense.
