i am a hd owner from madrid, i am planning to ride my sportster 883 low up to london and id like to find out a few things before i do.
what should i know about parking my bike in london? in madrid i can park it on a sidewalk, no problem. also, are there a lot of bike thefts if i leave it parked outside will it be stolen?
my pipes are loud, is this a problem?
where can i go for meetups and riding with other bikers???

Parking in London is a nioghtmare as each different area has different rules. The safest bet is to find a dedicated motorbike parking bay.
Most of us have louds pipes, some especially loud (huh Green Hornet and Goose 
)
Keep an eye on the section on this forum called ride outs and meets. We get together every Wednesday and Friday evening and there are normally a selection of rides tro choose from on the weekends

Welcome reefonline! HD’s have no trouble in London, but you need to use a very good chain with your bike.
Are belt drives bad there?
Your harley will be fine in london…
But if you go to the country…

Hey welcome. Been in Madrid and it’s great to park you bike on the sidewalk but you’ll get a ticket over here. I assume you’ll be on Spanish plates though so even if you do get a ticket you might get away with it. We meet every Wednesday at Borough market, you’ll find the map and links in the rideouts and meets section. Harley owners have the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G) which is based at Warrs in Chelsea for the central London chapter.
