Man don’t joke about that, my neightbour had one of them minimotos and he had a crash on it and his leg was hurting for about 5 months:) what can I say no protection, he should have borrowed my full 1PC racing suit:):)

i think every one thats put a little story on here about a near off /off should all try a trackday day(if you havent allready)you learn so much about your riding and your bikes limits its worth a try because if you do push it to hard your not going to be worrying about lamposts cars lorrys curbs ect . and when i slid off at silverstone i only did 50 quids woth of damage . Ratty if you have never done one think you should do one next year , you can teach me how not to panic when your back tyre spins up from to much lean angle and throttle:w00t:., especially coming out of druids at brands hatch! ive stayed on so far but guess next year might have different ideas for me!!

i dunno dude i just dont panic>>? i had the over week, overtook in second cracked it open…spin…slide…oops shut throttle…snaps back into line off ya go, prob more to it then that, i dont think just react…plus its teh beauty of a twin, no high revs to spin up in teh way you describe…just lay down that torque;)

next year i will be out on track…elbow down! ED/KD hooligun!:D:D

I really enjoy slides, had a cracking one on Sunday. On a roundabout near Rickmansworth I foolishly gave the bike a blip of throttle on the exit of a roundabout. The back end stepped out alot, I calmly back off the throttle abit, not closing it. Everything settled down and I carried on as if nothing happened. The car that was behind me left a huge gap

if the bike slides…i rarely panic…think this is from riding off-road moto x/green laning and riding moutain bikes through trails etc so sliding isnt tooo much of a worry.

I think off road experience really does help to stop you panicing. With my downhill mountain biking you’re spending about a third of the time sliding either or both wheels. The consequences are generally far less severe but it still trains your brain to be calm. I want to try a track day and Motox in the new year.

exactly…tho on a motorbiek its a lil different as it be more expensive should you lose that slide…

i’ve even caught teh front at times, for someone that loves herb, i have some god damn quick reaction times!!:w00t:

wouldl be more carefull about bliipping or giving it too much off a roundabout…too easy to end up on your ass…

Before I got knocked off I’d been riding around Wales these last few days, great fun but the roads are pretty muddy and generally slippy at the moment, so was sliding it around quite a lot - not on purpose but loved it every time it happened
Then after that I got knocked off in town sigh Good fun having a near miss though

sidestepping white lines in the wet.

first wheelie when you don’t expect it and you slip the clutch a bit too quick

all fantastic feelings and depending on how close that white van is behind you, scary as hell

Depends on the situation. If another road user nearly totals me I curse under my breath and keep my distance from them and thank the Biker God with a short prayer.

If it was my own fault I than I usually feel massively alive due to the adrenaline, and ride cautiously and thank the Biker God with a long prayer.

lol yeah, or just hold on with your ass:) if you see lots of them bike accidents videos you will realise the bike will just keep going on her own, most of the time something happens the rider falls off and the bike just straightens up and goes in a straight line.

Talk about scarry moments, one of the guys on the BCR had a wasp in the helmet that came through the vents… how do you deal with that one eh?? That’s a bloody scarry moment:)

God I couldnt deal with that. Stood on one once and got stung under the foot. I swear its like having fire in your veins.

that was me that happened to:hehe: was do about 60mph at the time & only had my visor up very slightly. then the wasp got wedged between my lid and visor and started to crawl in:crying: had nowhere to pull over at the time plus had to consentrate on the road at the same timethe bit that propa freaked me out was when it jumped onto my nose:w00t: by that time i was riding boss eyed stairing at my new passenger, not to p1ss it of found a place to stop and looked to the clouds and opened the visor then away it went:laugh: i got the creepy crawly shakes bit like a sh**ing dog once it was all over:D
