got an 09 plate R1 (not big bang) and used to ride a gsxr 600 k7, well the r1 is just to flipping crazy for the road, i used to rip the hell out my 600 and was quick now try to do that on my new one and its like the world has just gone mental like a big blur. its just so flippin fast. i dont miss my 600 but i cant ride my R1 like a 600, if i do then hello pearly gates. Me is thinking track days

Congrats on new shiny bike. Like most I went from 600 to 1,000 – you gotta have a lot of respect for those big beasties!
nice bike get a picture up of it then, yup treat it with respect or it will bite ya hard but enjoy it 
You’ll soon get used to it hun. You need to be a lot smoother with the bigger engine but with some mileage you’ll soon be ragging it again
I tried riding my R1 like I used to ride the R6 and it wasn’t having any of it, I kept locking up the wheels being too rough with the gears.
say goodbye to the sensation of hitting the throttle stop, you’ll hardly feel it again on the road
