Has your bike been knocked over?

Drunk van driver knocked my bike over and got spooked by the alarm and the crash drawing attention to his drunken state so he drove over the front wheel busting just about as much as is possible. Witnesses saw him staggering to the van and thought about calling the old bill. Heard the crash and did, but didn’t get the number plate. Plod won’t do anything. CCTV was trying to raise money by watching the bus lanes. I’m left with a crumpled bike and nobody to claim off.I’m a tad ticked off.

my bike got knocked over by a drunken women in her car as she reversed out of her parking space, checked the cctv over with the manager but it was late at night and the numberplate light blurred out the plate

my answer is x3 people owned up every time with the 07 RR

I think there should be an option for “only once, when I fell off.”

maybe its not a good week for me to answer this at the min

Not easy to knock mine over on its paddock stands…lol;)

I might as well report it to my Gran’s parrot…so true:D:D:D

The dude was about to run but the 6,7" door man (a bfg) ran over and asked him where he was going got all the details, the funny thing is the same cab driver came to the club last week about another accident he caused thinking I was trying to pull a fast one, same again hit a car and he ran but caught on cctv from what I could work out on the letter, he asked me about.

Hmmm, many times but with different results:

  1. Car knocked bike over but then denied that the matching dent from wing and yellow paint where anything to do with it. No witness and Third party only so gave up (but got my revenge when I moved house)

  2. Van reversed into a bike in the bike park in London, knocked one bike over onto mine, people in a pub wrote down the registration. Big fight with the company involved but eventually got their insureres to apy out.

  3. Something hit my bike and bent side stand, luckily not too much damage but had to buy a new stand, no witnesses, no claim

  4. Scooter fell over onto my bike (someone had moved it to get another bike into a space that wasn’t big enough) scratch on frame and fairing

Basically if you park in London then it’s going to happen sometime

Has to be said, I’m genuinely astonished at how many people haven’t had a problem or have managed to get it properly sorted.

Maybe that should go someway to calming my complete lack of trust in human nature and society at the moment.

Kickstart, I hope that litany of disaster is spread over a good amount of time. Re your sig, I wish I could fix my bike with gaffa tape and cable ties. I can think of a use for the hammer though.

DJjasoncarrol, that’s the kind of story I like. A big guy ‘suggesting’ someone do the right thing.

Chunkymonkey, trust me, they can fall off paddock stands all on their own.

Viggen, you lucky so and so. That is good news though.

Curtis, that’s the kind of thing I thought I’d hear more of. Did you find yourself hatching all kinds of deeply illegal ways of getting some justice, or at least retribution? Did you want to burn her dog, or pay hoodies a fiver to repeatedly break every piece of glass on the car.

Breath…
