I’m starting an insurance claim and my garage suggested I use them instead, but I’m not convinced about using a claims management company. Anybody any views?
if your garage recommended them, it might be because they’re in cahoots and the garage gets a handout for the recommendation.
Do some research on the internet about them. see how long they’ve been trading etc.
I used McAms twice, about 2 years ago. They were very good, provided an equivalent bike (until the initial amount was agreed on/settled), and allowed my local mechanic to deal with the work.
Only thing is that they charged (the other side) an arm and a leg for the bike rental itself, along with all the insurance. This may have changed due to the new legislation last year, but in general they were pretty good at what they did
Hmmm took your advice and did some research on the Internet and found these reviews which are not too promising.

It’s not a garage I know and asking around I’m thinking you’re right that probably in cahoots. Saying that I’m keen to get back on the road. Think I’ll hold off for a bit and see how quick my insurance can sort things before contacting them.
