Pete did your oil cap come with a rubber seal, as mine didn’t and I found it leaked a lil so I had to go get one myself.
You need the rubber seal as DA says. I lost a Harris plug at 160mph in France a couple of years ago, it was a bit of a moment as the bike was on fire, spitting out oil. I have a video of the clean-up process by the road-side. I’m amazed they don’t supply, or don’t talk of the necessity of the seal.
In the Harrris instructions it tells you to put a rubber seal on the oil filler plug from old Suzuki plug !!
Ah instructions I never read them 
still have my box at home does it mention a size as I still get a tiny leak.

Use the one of the old plug if its not to bad or just get one from Suzuki, on my 99 R1 i got one from a company and was loseing oil big time. But cos it was vapour you coulndt see it leaking !!
