Yeah, watched it too. Whilst all the opposition were sliding all over the track, Hamilton (apart from one minor slip) kept his car on the track beautifully. Brilliant piece of driving and really moving to hear the National Anthem being played at the British GP 
Yup I agree! Massa spinning 5 times was quite bizarre.

He did drive very well, even getting off the line and taking two places in the first couple of hundred yards, excellent show. If anybody was in doubt that he can drive, this should put them straight Just hope he manages to stay calm and focused for the rest of the season, would really like to see him win the championship.

Do as I did, stop buying newspapers, they are full of negative press, build em up and knock em down, our papers are the best at putting a negative slant on a positive story.

Great race. Better that “our boy done good” but a good race, even if he’d blown it at the last.
Nice too to see the quiet man (Heidfeld) and the family guy (Rubens) up there on the podium too.
Pitty Coulthard could not have joined the party, but still a memorable race and, I suspect, to be one of the great races talked about for some years.
Perhaps they should introduce a new rule to F1, that no race shall take place unless there is at least half an inch of water on the track. Might make it interesting enough to watch.
Yep, agree with that, just goes to show how good a race can be when driver skill and car control counts for more than strategy and electronic trickery.
Maybe make the tyres harder and less grippy, make the plank under the car thicker and force them to use carbs and clockwork ignition 
I was at the race, sitting in the stand at Luffield, the last corner before the start/finish straight. Watching them come through the stadium section was awsome in the wet, the cheers when Massa and Raikkonen spun in front of us were louder than when Hamilton won:DThere was a brilliant atmosphere, even the wife got into it!!
The three hours to get out of the car park and cover the 12 miles just to get to the M40 wasn’t as much fun though. 2 hours to get there, 5 and a half to get home:w00t:

Sorry, but I just can’t get excited about F1. Well done to Hamilton, great achievement, but as a racing spectacle it leaves me cold.
I agree that F1 doesn’t always excite, unfortunately it can be a little boring sometimes, and not the best spectacle. But as MickyWiz said, chuck a bit of water at the track and it’s a lot more interesting.
All racing, whatever the vehicle, isn’t always brilliant for the spectator. The last MotoGP wasn’t a thriller. But as soon as aerodynamics play a major part then it makes it even more difficult to get close racing.Isn’t it great to have a top British sportsman though. Let’s hope the media don’t crush him.
How can you say the last MotoGP wasn’t a thriller? Admittedly Stoner beetled off magnificently into the distance after he got past Tiny Pedrosa, but what about Edwards? Last after the first corner (until Vale picked himself up) and carved his way through to take 3rd thanks to Hayden’s final corner mechanical disaster. Rossi in last lapping faster than anyone to get up the field, good stuff from Toseland, Vermeulen and de Angelis. Great racing. I’d check yourself for a pulse if I were you. 
So people spinning off meant that hamilton won?
Nah Massa was last and spun 5 times all on his own Hamilton was up to 2nd by the 1st bend and pretty much stayed there the whole race but I think if Ferrari had changed Raikkonen’s tyres like they should have done he would have got past Lewis.
No, he won because on the day he was the best driver, kept control of his car, read the conditions best and was fastest 
All drivers had the choice of the same tyres and the same conditions, Hamilton made best use of what he had 
Hamilton did spin too but was able to catch it and didn’t make the same mistake again, unlike others.
i’m not much of an F1 fan but in its defence, once the rain kicks in it can become interesting
there was loads of overtaking yesterday and some pretty cool stuff like Heidfeld taking two places on the same corner (twice)
seeing Massa spin like a ballerina all day was funny
Great race, Hamilton did an incredible job and showed himself to be the supremely talented driver that he is. Even one of the rival team bosses was praising him!
What I couldn’t understand was in the interviews afterwards, Hamiltons Jnr and Snr were both saying the previous month was difficult for them. What’s that all about? I assume they’ve been getting negative press about something but I couldn’t find anything untoward on the web.
