I just passed another milestone, today I finished the last of 30 daily jabs I have to give myself:w00t: The leg is feeling real good…except when I try to straighten it right out, but it’ll come. It feels like the plate is digging into the ligament on the side of my knee.
Apart from my calf agging me a bit during the night, the only down side seems to be some of the women on the trains to and from work. I have honestly never met such rude to$$ers. Trying to get on and off the trains on crutches yesterday I had 1 women pushing past on one side and 2 the other!
I nearly lost my wrag today on the way home when for the 3rd time whilst waiting for the train staff to open the barrier for me (the raspberries entrance) some woman on the phone just pushes past and stands in front of me whilst she gas-bagging on the phone! No more mister nice guy from now on, the next one is hits the floor!!!
I’m on crutches and have a leg brace like this, should I have a man with a flashing light and a flag too! GrrrrRRRRRRR!..Thats better:)
i had one of them, brace that is right pain u wait till u take it off, your leg looks all deformed.mine was on for 12 weeks but i have got fat legs.as for the train just pop he bottom of your stick off and smack um on the head with it,works for me .
I have legs that you’d expect to see in a sparrows nest and my leg looks deformed! I take the fekkin thing off at night or I cant sleep:doze:
I see a chap called Joe Cole (he’s a footballer apparently? ) has one of these braces now too, I bet you’ll all be rushing out to join us now!
I once use that Vanish clothes cleaning stuff using my fingers to massage the stuff into the stain on my shirt, it did take the colour out of my skin!!!:pinch:
As for the rude people on the trains/tube have seen it before, must people only seem to have there own self interest in mind. If your on crutches may I make a suggestion on where you can stick them on the offending person… :w00t:
That reminds me of the injections i had to give myself when i had my accident and busted my knee few years ago…urgh i HATED doing that…it was a case of shut yer eyes and jab it in !!! :w00t:
I have had to take the crutches to The London Hospital this morning to have the rubber ends replaced. I have been doing so much running around (running?) since I left Queens hospital last month, I’ve worn right through to the tubes!!! I did call Essential Rubber but they didn’t have a fitment!
I think that there are a lot of female commuters reading LB, one middle aged lady even took my crutches down off the overhead rack to be helpful this moring!…she could have waited until I’d finished packing the stuff back in my rucksack first, packing my rucksack whilst holding my crutches was a right pain in the toush. Of course as I’d just got up to the overhead rack for my rucksack and left my crutches I wonder if she did it deliberately to double phuck me?
Ah it happens, I start physio Monday so I’ll be Rugby training by Wednesday! An interesting bit of advice from the Doc I saw the other day. He said I will need a new knee in about 100yrs and the NHS wont have the fittings for the screws in my leg so get the metalwork taken out ASAP!:doze:
The knee’s good. Riding the Ducati is bending the knee more than is comfortable. But it was good to be on a bike:w00t: I have been wanging around in our V8 powered car for the last week. It feels fast cause I’ve not driven for so long, the 68hp 900ss felt like a rocketship!
