I’ve stayed in ski accommodation with one of these and they are excellent.
But if I had that much space to spare in my small flat, I’d buy a wine fridge.
We have a built-in wine fridge in our flat :)

They retail for £1K! 
For that price you could buy another set of gear and just rotate!
It’s also to keep the wet gear from dripping all over the garage whilst hanging, as for £250 for a new set of gear… Don’t think I’d want to go down the road in that, don’t think it would be much good if I could get Jacket, trousers, gloves, boots and helmet for that price (I stick the cheek pads in there the few times that they get wet)
