guess i done it this time

I took my arm out of the sling and off to the LB bash (brill do guys, big up ac/dc :)) I went, I didnt fancy being mistaken for johnse1 or any one thinking I cant ride without falling off. So much for the ego huh?

Anyway on driving myself around that night I could feel a twinge coming on so I thought not to worry your at the hospital on monday for a follow up.

Havinng got to the doc’s I thought he was gonna say Nev. ā€˜Your elbows coming on nicely you can go back to work this week.’ But what he actually said took my breathe away.

He said.(quote) Sorry Mr Brown but the excessive movement that you have put your elbow through has caused the fractured bone to slightly drop, and because the bone fragment is still attached it will need pinning back, so Im afraid you wont be back to work until feb at the earliest, and your arm will never be straight again.

Im gutted… :w00t: No bike, no car, no job… Im screwed. If I’d known what I was doing I’d have had a few more beers. :stuck_out_tongue: All Ive got is MORE PAIN…

Sorry GR mate - hope it ain’t as bad as it sounds - it’s difficult to follow doctors orders - I’ve been limping about on me broken leg and have been out on the bike - worried I may have done something similar as a strange bump has developed.

Hope things start looking good again in the new year mate. ;)

Shiiit! sorry to hear the bad news mate! but look on the bright side PS3 and X-box games are gonna be cheap as chips in january so you’ll have plenty to keep yourself busy with

good luck getting on the mend

Sh*t.

Don’t worry, doctors dont know a thing. And if they do - Ryans got the ticket. PS3 all the way!!!

Bad news fella. :frowning:

sounds like you bust it much in the same way as mine.

when I went back for my checkup I wasn’t in there much more than a minute. ā€œhow are you, are you in pain? see you in another 6 weeksā€ kinda thing. didn’t even bother feeling to see if the bone had healed or Xray it. my arm isn’t straight either, but there’s not much I can do about that

Problem I got is the bones broken down the length from the ball (the bit that goes onto the socket) downwards, instead of the usual across the bone fracture. Now this fracture has opened causing it not to be able to freely move inside the socket. Hence the pinning back needed.

Thanks for tips guys but console games need free movement in both arms I have tried. Im down to a psp playing football manager 2007 yawn yawn!!!

You need more practice, I’m not going to win any on line tournament but I can now beat my son() at PGR4 and PES6. You might need to stretch your fingers a bit… ( although to be fair he is only 5)

am a gonna git ma geetar an play fer ma baby not till late january

 get well soon fella:)

lmao :P:P this forum cracks me right up

There’s a game they’re advertising on the kids channels at the moment (Rabid Rabbits or something) which they actually mention you can play with your arse on the Wii Fit board, if that’s of any use to ya ?

Damn, sorry to hear this mate. Hopefully you heal better than they expect or that you get another opinion…

Lets be positive shall we. The weather between now and feb is generally crap so no dramas there, work might be an issue but I’m sure there’s a way round that, depending on what you do. As for not being able to straighten your arm you don’t need to when your riding!! So keep your chin up and do as the physio says and take it easy in future.

Don’t let it get you gown either.

Yeah, what he said… or I’ll make you join my new gang…I’m thinking of calling it ā€œThe cripple massiveā€ or is that a bit too un-pc?

You be as un-PC as you like. It happened to you, you call the shots.

A lot of us can’t say how much we respect you for your attitude to your accident and subsequent disability but be sure that we all do.

can I have your bike and your guitar?? I’ll take the car too if you don’t mind…
