Got a text from Iain last night. He was on his way home when someone had him off the gixxer. Not entirely sure what happened but he’s got a broken foot.
Bike has a broken foot peg and the fairing is smashed.
Considering what could have happened I think he’d got off pretty well.
But hopefully he’ll make a speedy recovery and be back out soon.
I’m sure we had a spate of off’s this time last year.
Gotta be due to darker, colder nights, people aren’t familiar with the weather, loss of vision and and road conditions. Can’t ride like it’s summer in this weather, you’ll need longer time for tyres to warm up, eyes need to get used to limited light and still ensuring every other bugger out there doesn’t kill you!
Just be a bit more cautious until you acclimatise to the new conditions.
i know how stupid it may sound and you will will look stupid in it, why not wear something bright like a hiv vis or yellow jacket, IM NOT aimoing that at just one person im aiming that at all riders at this time in moment
Yep. My hi-viz is now officially on for the duration (of winter). But then again, I don’t really care about whether I think I’m looking cool or not. (Even if I did, I think I look a lot cooler on my bike in Hi Viz than in the back of an ambulance without one)
