My bikes just coming up to 14k miles and due a valve clearance check I think from what I remember from the service interval - I was gonna wait til after the next LB trackday to have em done at the same time as the service but do you reckon I’ll be ok doing the track day without them being checked or would it be best to have em looked at beforehand?
How much should it cost roughly just to have them checked?

Probably do the oil & plugs myself then and just get the shop to check the clearances & pocket the difference 
you sure it needs doing at 14k?? my k4 750 is due at 16k, i think adz had his done at around the 22k and they werent really out that much…
Yeah checked the service manual that I downloaded from a link on Gixer Junkies, says they need inspecting at 14k. I know things have a certain amount of tolerance in them so Im sure it’ll be fine but you know how these things can be if you dont keep on top of em when they say you should - I’ll do my trackday and knacker the engine and have everyone telling me I should have had them checked!
I booked my srad 750 in at 16000 to get the clearances done, the mechanic told me not to bother, i’d be just wasting my money as he’d never seen any need adjusting after that mileage, so i left it. I did get it done at the next service at 20,000 though just for peace of mind.
