I have seen a few bikes with an intergrated back light / indicator unit, which gets rid of the rear indicators, but what are these called, and where can you get them from?

They’re good, I’ve had one on my previous K4 750.
Be aware some of them are good but some when you aply the brakes you can only just see the indicator part as the brake light is on as well espec noticable on newish R6’s and R1’s
Wouldnt mind one for my R1, any recommendations as what make and who to buy from. Dont want a bit of tacky sh#te though, any ideas? Or is it best to stay standard 
The one pictured above works well, you can clearly see the indicators, even when the brakes are applied. I had the same concerns as M9Performance when I was looking at it.
what happens when it comes to mot time?
how easy are these to fit is it just a straight plug in?
I’m not too sure about MOT but I imagine it should past as they are still clear to see and work independently without interrupting either the brake light or indicators but you’ll have to check up on that one.
Yep, all you do is pop out the stock tail light and slot in your new one, plug and play matey

its similar but not the cheap junk, you really need a demo, hard to explain

got it from the states just a circuit board of complexity, have to cut open the old light put in the new board has about 7 brake sequences and 7 signals sequences plus you can activate any preset special effect that you require if you choose to purchase the optional stuff, but can be run as a stand alone unit, with the “cheap” ones the indicators are hard to see when you brake becuase the reds are too bright with mine it shuts off the reds on one side so only the ambers can be seen its top notch but V expensive and alot brighter than the standard, but you really need a live demo, do you get to the ace or waterloo???
Is Waterloo on a monopoly board, thats as close as i get

Well ive put the clear alternatives one on mine, works very well in my opinion, looks the same as standard but really tidys the rear end up without those large OEM indicators. Dont know how the local police will view it though 
And a pice of piddle to fit
