GSXR Electrical Prob

Went & met a mate today to go out for a ride, pull up near his house, get off - go to start the bike and it didnt start - lost indicators, dash display etc. Alarm set & then would go off as soon as it was set. I called the RAC and we checked the fuses and the bikes blowing the fuse for Fuel, we changed the fuse and it started fine but as soon as you use the indicators or set the alarm the fuse blows again.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? To me it sounds like some kind of shorting out of wiring to the indicators. The bikes a K4 600 GSXR.

Any help would be appreciated - at the moment its looking like the train to work tomorrow

Cheers - it does the same with the hazzards aswell? Im gonna ring the place where I bought it and see if they’ll sort it out for me under warranty as I’ve only had it 2 weeks. Its been spot on since I’ve been riding it, just started this all of a sudden! (its not got wet tho)

Yeah as said b4 take back to shop they should sort it for ya, if they dont park bike in front of door and tell every1 coming into shop wot ****e dealers/service they are, lol.

Wot year/model of bike is it?

Do ya self a favour just take seat off follw the wires of indicators etc, might just be wire came out or seat or summat rubbing on wire.

Any hassles let me know i know a god of a bike electrician in thornton heath.

I got this all sorted now but dont know what it was! I took it back to where I bought it from but they were on holiday until today so I asked my mate who fits alarms to check it out for me, we stipped the back end down to have a look at the alarm, changed the fuse & it worked straight away! Probably a dodgy connection somehwere but we couldnt find it and its been ok since then

Got a judder on the front brake now though - just as im coming to a stop theres a vibration on the front, feels like abs! Any ideas? Ive got it booked in for a check over & oil change etc on Sat.
