gsxr 750 k 89 slingshot.

i know its a shot in the dark, but anybody got any spares for a 1989 gsxr 750 slinger lying around?

cheers.

Just the odd parts.

Engine parts, chassis parts, bodywork, Ex Durex suzuki race parts, Race kit parts, Dry clutchs, Close ratio gearboxs, Race kit gaskets, JMC swingarm (should fit yours) matched piston sets with rings standards and oversize 2nd hand,

Just the odd bit and yes I’m serious. About £40.000 of bits. The race kit stuff I have more of than Suzuki does.

Rebuilt brake calipers on an exchange basis.

Specific to your bike and colour I know I have a real wheel with tyre for £40 and pretty sure I’ve got some mint mids that I’d let go for £40 the pair, seats in blue, clip-ons, footrest hangers, levers, headlights, indicators,

ABE petal brake discs with a discount. Standard used discs. Japanese OEM discs.

Might still have a set of good nick headers hiding somewhere as well.

How deep are your pockets?

Service parts as well.

wouldnt happen to have a set of bar end weights would you?

Which part do you need. Just the weight or the whole assy?

Forgot to say the new parts go for about 60% retail and the 2nd hand parts vary from very cheap to full price on things like dry clutchs and close ratio boxs.

Head and base gaskets are VERY cheap for your bike but I only have high compression ones.

bluddy hell pup…you got the works going on there!!!..lol

when you say headers…do you mean the pips coming from the heads?

also are the foot pegs and leavers blue in colour?

my pockets aint deep atal…lol…not without doing even more overtime at work …

but do need some parts for my bike…so atleast ive got the run down from you so i know who to turn to when somthing goes t-ts up… or if i wanna make my eyes bleed…!!!lol

oh yea…im also looking for a single seat unit for me slinger…

cheers pup!!!

smiled.

Why the **** do you want levers and pegs in blue you sad tart?

Saying that I’ve got a set of carbon look levers on my RK that you can have cheap. Yours is the Hydro clutch?

The blue pegs are complete **** , longer than the originals and less comfy.

I have a single seat converter and cushion off an 1100K that will fit your bike somewhere £40 I’ll dig it out and as long as its not cracked its yours, if its cracked the price will drop a bit. I’ll even deliver to the Ace or Frith for free.

Yes the headers are the bits out of the head.

And for anyone else I have **** loads of parts for Slingshot 750’s and 1100’s as well as the ultra rare RK’s. Just don’t piss me off by asking for a washer for a dry clutch that cost £2.50 and expectig me to look through 20+ boxes of parts coz you can’t be bothered to call a dealer on a phone No. I give you and then expect it for free.

lol…wont be getting any of those then…(blue pegs…)

great news on the headers…and leavers…how much did you want for them?

oh yea…could’nt tell you if i had a hydro clutch…still getting in studdy time with the haynes manual…

and the seat unit…good news but to be honest…will only be able to buy one item at a time as funds come from a month to month…

but i have a dodgy brake leaver at the mo so am dam interested on those leavers…are you up the ace tomorrow night?(fri)

smiled.

Not likely I’ll be at the ace tomorrow. I will have to check on the headers next time I go to my lock up which will be next week some time. The levers £10-£15 the pair, depends how much it costs me to replace them. They are for a Hydro clutch not a cable clutch so you will have to check your bike.

just checked me bible…tis a cable clutch ive got…bummer…oh well

will keep an eye on this post over next week mate…RE:headers.

cheers mate…

smiled.

The part i am after is the weight that screws in to the end of the clip on, as i get a lot of vibration through the bars and think that is what will cure it

To be honest if you only need the end weight the cheapest thing to do would be to buy a set of generic ones from a shop.

The weight on your bike, which I think is an L has a complete assy going into the bar. I have 2 sets of these assy but they are expensive, nearly £100 each new.

Hey sick! ya got any rear panels for a 1100k?

Yep. Which parts and which colours?

Just thought I’v got a set complete with a single seat converter in black, a custom paint job that need the tabs repairing. If you have a damaged set of panels with tabs I could make a set out of the two or repair the tabs from some of my spares.

Also got a JMC swingarm for am 1100 K somewhere. 1 inch over length that I would let go cheapish. Also got original pipes and headers and headlights as well as front farings, hangers and clipons.

ooo ooo wot we talking cheap here? lol might be interested in that swingarm.

After set of standard rear panels, blue/white.

I think the only blue and whites I have are on my own 750L but I will check.

The JMC £200 but it needs a new axle. Its a deep brace mirror polish with welded on bits for paddock stand bobbins. cost over £500 new.

that axle might be a prob, dont think jmc will be cheap and they dont exactly be quick bout it do they, lol. 6 months wait for a swingarm i am lead to belive.

No longer a problem.

Found the axle and the custom made stainless chain guard with integral scottoiler lines.

The price will sadly go up a bit with it all there. Just priced it up and with all the bits it comes to £550ish new.

You’re not wrong about JMC taking the piss. If you’ve ever seen the chain adjuster tool you will know what I mean. They don’t come with the arm but cost another £12+postage and its a piece of bent low grade steel with a peg welded to it.

Had a call from a breakers today who may have a 750RK frame for me, if they do I will be using the arm on it with a B12 lump. If not it will be for sale so.

I would upload a pic but it won’t let me. PM me your email address and I’ll send one over if you want one.

hey sick pup.

Not got the cash at mo for the arm but might have some1 else interested in it.

How much are you loking? i couldnt remember wot you said and i said bout 250 to em, if ron sorry will tell em.

Mail me some pics then: [email protected]
