Good luck with your DAS next month and finding the right bike will be easy if your looking for a 600cc sports as there are various lowering kits available. To fit them go down to the OMC if you like tinkering or give Adz a call if you just like sitting back and watching.
Hey from a fellow newbie. I’ve got the opposite problem from you; much everything is a bit cramped! Hondas seem quite short in general; how many have you sat on?
Hi from another newbie
Im somewhere inbetween height wise but my hornet is the perfect height for me, feet plant firmly on the floor.
To put it into perspective, i was on tip-toes on my SH125 scoot
I’m 6ft and the Varadero 125 is perfect size for me. Glad I didn’t go for the cheaper CBF or CG that is way too small for me and most people look ridiculous on these. I hope Hondas are too short in general because I got my eyes on a Hornet possibly
Well standing 5,4, Im on balls of feet on my CBR125 but comfortable, I’ve sat on a CBR600F Yreg., and am on tiptoes, need to sit on a few more I think. I know you can get them lowered but seems like a lot of hassle.
Like the look of, but havnt seen one in the flesh,VFR400,
As people have said lowering kits are available and there are quite a few short ladies who ride bigger bikes, so you will be in good company! Miss Mini Moto from the KTM forum was 7 stone and 5 foot tall, yet she used to race her KTM on the track and gave the blokes a run for their money:D I’m average height (5 foot 5) on a Street Triple, which I am on tiptoes on. Initially I thought of lowering it, but then just got used to the bike, so never bothered in the end. Am sure you will find a 600 to suit your height when you need to upgrade - the Hornet 600 is a good bet and a great first big bike.
