I did it, went and tried out a green lane on Sunday with a friend… It was a fantastic day, with some nice roads around Surrey and a green lane…
First couple of minutes gives an idea of what it was like on road tyres… Was really fun! I love my bike now

Nice one… If you feel more adventurous try the lanes in Kent. You’ll need permission from the council but that’s easily obtainable. They are more challenging so I wouldn’t advise doing them on road tyres. Though a few of us have done them and they were fun, probably best to stick your offroad tyres on
I live about 10mins from the lanes in Surrey so am frequently there
Makes me want to get a little off roader and get out there. Nice one Alex.

Hopefully next time you’ll breath a bit easier now you know what to expect
only after you drop it once and realise damage is minimal will you go full throttle…
unless you do it like nivag of course :pinch:
Thanks all, yeah - I’m keeping my eyes open for a set of wheels and off road tyres that’ll fit. Will look into getting a Kent permit.
Not too worried about dropping it, but I need to get some proper biking boots and maybe some other protective gear as I was just in regular boots.
Where abouts was that, as me and the better half fancy going?
Cool vid
Hi, it’s just of Ranmoore Road, marked on this map, it follows the tree line…

There is a bunch of them around there. If you pick up an OS map it’s easy to find the green lanes, there’s quite a few around.
