My Son has just found this on fleabay its reasonably local I can collect it after work (if its a rider)

he is interested in it but he hasn’t passed his A2 test so it would need restricting when he has
looking at other bikes on fleabay I think the top price to pay is £500 as my son shows the interest I have to show the money
is it worth it ?
& what do I have to look out for with that model ?

as a long time owner of a GPZ and I loved it.
Idling I’d ask if this is just on start up or consistent if on start up I’d probably not be to worried as I had this on mine was just due to cold conditions, I used to go down fire it up for 5 minutes about 15 minutes before I left. by the time I came back down all was good.
I’d be wondering why there are rips on the seat, seems like high mileage as well, although not a deal breaker, I think you could probably get something a little better condition wise for the same money…
Otherwise this is an ideal 1st big bike I recon

the bike is mainly to get him off his 125 & make him do his test
mileage I did see & im not to fussed if the price is right all it has to do is get him to take his test & learn how to fix & service a bike
if it lasts through the summer then job done if it lasts longer then im quids in
ill get him a better bike when im sure he wont wreck it like his 125
