Hello proriders !

Seems that everyone introduced themself, so there i come.

I’m Laure. Passed my DAS a 2/3 weeks ago, before the new laws coming up.

Got to be honnest but this was a great timing.

I’m now on the roads and looking for some helpful and fun experiences.

I shall come at the meeting tomorrow, to get to see what happens there every wednesday.

There is a picture of my little monster and me. Not such a great picture but will surely take more some other time.

Is that a new bike? It looks gorgeous.

You said you passed your DAS a few weeks ago, were you happy with the centre and if so, where was it? I am just asking because I’m looking to do mine in the next few weeks and checking out training centres at the moment. Also how long had you been riding before you took your DAS?

Hoping to meet you soon, I’m not planning to go this week but will go next week, when Ally (curlyAlly) is back from her holiday.:slight_smile:

It’s not such a new bike but still in great condition. Was born in 1998.

Did my test in West hampstead at Capital city. I’ve had some great instructors, as i wasn’t so good to start with. Héhé

I drove a scooter for a while. That was about it before i got on to that one. Been on the monster for nearly 2 weeks now. Fantastic !

You will be at the meeting not this wednesday but next is that right ?

Yes, I can see that you are, I have been reading you guys’ posts for a little while…but I’m a bit of a chicken:blush:
I might come tomorrow if Laure goes - sorry, being shy cos don’t feel like a proper biker as only riding a 125 and you ‘proriders’ (to quote Laure above) are a bit intimidating.:unsure:

I’ll finish work for 4 / 5 depending on how busy we get.
You should be able to reconise my bike and find me.

I am no where near as intimidating as those guys. I’m only new on the roads, i’d rather stay at the back for a bit.

Yep, I’m French also, but a lot older than you (have been in the UK for 25 years, so totally anglicized with dual nationality, but still with a French accent lol). Your bike looks in great condition. It’s lovely. I have only had my CBF125 for a month or so and I am already craving a big bike…i think I have gone a bit mad perhaps.
What time are you planning to be at BM tomorrow?
Don’t want to start on a wrong footing by upsetting people:ermm:

Oh that’s fun, CBF125 is what my manager have ! She’s says it can be real fun. And big enought for London’s roads.

I get exacly where you come from, wanting a big bike tho ! Héhé

No need to be intimidated by any of us “Bikers” we’re all friendly, and we all start somewhere, atleast you have an engine with gears :wink: some people are still riding mountain bikes… (Not mentioning any names) :Whistling:

I’m not sure if il make it down there tomorrow or not although as always il try…
I’m sure there will be other females too. So go down and enjoy yourself, there a jolly bunch.

Just make sure you don’t “hide at the back” any way…

Already back from Dubai, but seeing John Bishop at the O2 tonight and then off to Barcelona on Friday for four days - so will definitely be ready for my LB fix next Wednesday. To LStar - definitely go tomorrow if you’re free - official start time is 6:30pm, but there will be a few there from about 6pm. I’m sure Mian (Me_groovy) will definitely be looking out for you. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming - the only qualification to ‘membership’ is that you prefer 2 wheels to four - you won’t get any ribbing for being a newbie/learner/on a small bike or whatever - although when you pass your DAS, if you end up buying something fugly; overly ‘exotic’ (ie breaks down a lot and no-one knows how to service them/ get parts for it); has a freakishly small fuel tank/range (except KTMs cos they’re just sooooo cool) or a Harley Davidson, then expect to be on the receiving end of a fair amount of good humoured teasing! You have been warned!!
