Sounds like a massive improvement. My race one has 70hp, we are only allowed 72hp max. Hopefully catch up with you at Cubana sometime soon. Bed yourself in again, take the time neccessary to hone yourself back up to speed and skill.

i hit oil on the nurburgring last aug so the r1 came off worst than me,shame.
back is 95% fit now just want to start riding now as i have got the go ahead from doctor now.
i had been going to the ring for 5 years before the crash so i was not like i didn’t know it just on of them thing,great doctors over ther,up and walking in 5 days all be it very slowly mate.
i still have the passion so im back on the road as soon as i get an motand tax on it sat prob.

Good on you egypt220 bikes are like drugs once you start you can’t stop even if you get hurt, you end up spending more money on them than you should, and if you meet a person whos not on bikes they don’t see why you just have to have one or have to ride

75-80bhp, how’d you manage that mate

I’ve got a 99 curvy and it puts out 70bhp at the back, any tips on how to increase it?

Mines an 04 model - i got a TRE device for mine - you can find them on ebay - it coost me £25. Its like a power commander but are used for racing. It is a Timing Retart Eliminator and derestrictor - it certainly made mine go a bit. If I crank the throttle wide open in first the front skips - just off lifting fully and it now accelerates straight up to about 100mph before starting to labor more.

svstreetfighter mine in a curvy to,it was the wifes she gave it to me near enough,she bought a wisco 700 big bore,ign advancer,been in garage for nearly five years now,so when i had my crash its been off the road for a year,i was going to put new cam chain and adjusters in as it has done nearly 50,000mls now,and then i bought a set of k3 inlet cams.
also run the rear sprocket with 2 extra teeth,it already had full akra,bmc filter and a dyno yet kit,it was the wifes as i said till 03 then she bought a duc 748s titanium,then got preganent.
the whole job a sdc cost £520 as i had got most of the parts.

CHUFFSTER,what do you do to the forks for racing mate i have ohlins springs in it and the adjusterble tops,i have a ohlins rear shock on it.i was going to use it for mini twins till i crashed,i will see how things pan out my try thunderbikes.
