Got some new boots today

New boots turned up today.

Sidi Adventures, soles are nice and grippy and quite comfortable out of the box but will be interesting to see how they break in.

Top of boot quite thick and with the extra pad for the shift there’s not a lot of feel but hoping that will change as they soften up.

Had a quick trip down to Newcastle and back today to look at some Revit gear and the boots have near enough broken in.

Great comfort, nice and warm and can feel the shift now.

Look like good ones! I think I saw similar ones at the Excel bike show recently and regret not getting them. Could really have done with thicker and grippier boots for the trip to Bahrain last year (lesson learned  )

Comfy boots, I’ve had a pair of them for a while. Got a good price at Helmet City.

I especially like the inbuilt squeaky toy device, this unexpected feature appeals to my hitherto unknown Jainist beliefs. I am not sure how to deactivate it though for when I want to go into stealth mode.

If it’s plastic/metal bits moving over each other, dry chain lube works a treat! (and leaves no mess)

If it’s leather…leather cream I guess?

Thanks for the tip fella.

When people ask me what that squeaking noise is, I tell them it’s my arse!

My B2 Gors did exactly the same thing and yep the Adventures have just started. Time to lube them

I would expect them to be good, they aint exactly cheap :w00t:

I’m kicking myself as I think I saw those boots going for a good price at the Excel show earlier in the year. Look like good ones, and may yet be tempted.

Edit: Oops, looks like I already posted something similar on this old thread
