Ride down to Goodwood circuit for the Breakfast Club meet for a look at some classic vehicles… on to the coast for lunch somewhere - finish back at Box for a cuppa… subject to the weather being favourable of course
It’s the Goodwood Breakfast Club meet next Sunday 7th … this month it’s ‘Pre-1966 vehicles, celebrating the
golden era of Goodwood Motor Circuit’ so should be some interesting vehicles and bikes on view.
The event is Free to enter with Free parking. It draws in exibitors and motor clubs from all over the place which
display there vehicles on the old circuit, pit and paddock areas where you can wander about and get close up…

You may remember Bikergirl_400(Claire) ran a ride down to the May event ‘Super car Sunday’ which was a great
success and thought a repeat would go down well… hopefully she will be coming this Sunday but is dependant on work.
OK well it needs to be an earlish start as the event starts at 8am and finishes at 12… and the lanes around
Goodwood get a little busy… if I remember correctly last time we left Box Hill about 9:00+ish to get down to
Goodwood around 10.30 … I’ll run a route down through some B roads and lanes, pick up the 285 at Petworth and on down…
8:45 meet to get away near to 9 as poss. at Box Hill this Sunday 7th Aug…
+++Be nice if we have a whip round on the day for ‘The Memorial Rides’ chosen charity SERV Blood Runners as well and I’ll lodge it through the justgiving site.+++
hi geoff. I am at having a corporate box day sat, first at twickers to see the rugby and then the o2 to see iron maiden at both events free alcohol is on offer so unlikely I will be in any state to ride a motorbike BUT if I manage some self control I will be there, likely with sara on the back
Have nice day Saturday Leon… rugby sounds good… iron maiden errr their give you headache without any alcohol!:ermm: Hope you don’t get in them to much and next I see you’ve got a old denim jacket with sleeves cut off on over your leathers! … Have a great day mate see you soon…
Here’s some pix from the Breakfast club meet. Good ride down bar the one sudden burst from the skies of torrential rain for about 20mins, bone dry the rest of the time. Excellent lunch at the Bluebird Cafe in Ferring, defo need to go back and have the chicken burger :)Cheers Geoff for leading us there.
.
Only three bikes today myself Leon and Gavin …a very nice ride and day out. Only got caught in one shower, in which we took shelter under a strawberry sellers awning, otherwise dry and bright.
Took a bit of a untest ride through the lanes of the Surrey Hills down to Petworth and found some really good twisty bike roads ade a change from the 29 and the 272… picked up 285 cut across pass the Goodwood race track and down to the old circuit for the Breakfast Club meet where there was some really fabulous old and exotic car cars on display…
Lunch was at ‘The Bluebird Cafe’ right on the beach at Ferring on sea, very nice spot and food. Hugged the sea road along through Worthing, Lancing and picked the 283 up at Shoreham, up through Henfield, lanes across 272 to Billighurst and back up to Box for a brew… thanks for the company lads really enjoyed the day.
