GONE IN 20SECONDS!!!!!!!!

I don’t know what they used - but i didn’t hear anything (the bike was below an open window - thats the reason we heard the alarm go off) and they have taken the chain!!!

I would imagine the van would be stolen - even if Mears don’t know it yet!! (might be worth a phone call)

gutted for you mate. hope it sorts itself out.

i thought Almax was the boll**ks. was it a small one?

i think i need to stop leaving my bike unsecured or it could be me next time.

****!!!

What’s sort of bike?

Ema

Ema - it was a 2007 YZF R1!

The chain was a £345 big/heavy bit of kit, it was their top of the range a year ago!

But what gets me is why have they taken the broken chain - unless they are using something new to cut them with and don’t want to leave any evidence???

Gutted to hear the news. There is a fair chance that Mears have their vans fitted with Tracker or similiar. Worth pointing out to police or Mears themselves. If the van wasnt nicked from Mears then there is a good chance you will have a result as they can track the vans movements.

Good luck.

Damn sorry to hear that, i know how it feels TWICE! Second time i cought em!

sorry about your bike any news

i didnt want to open this post sean…i feel ill now…

sick to the gut…and i know how you feel…really i doo…;).

if i can be of any help or you want me to help look for these bastards…gimmie a shout mate

i hope they get cancer…

not so smiled:cool:.

so basically ya dont know the chain wa scut, you say was chained to a drain, that gone too? they shatter easy, only cast iron.

gutted to hear that, I know how you feel, it happened to me 2 yrs ago in the city, and my brand new blade was not insured against theft, a mega loss :crying:…I hope yours was

sad news. Hope the sh!t bags die a slow death:crying:

oh sorry to hear that matey, lets hope they find the ****.

oh Sean - I feel like crying for you. Fu*king theiving scum need their arms chopped off :frowning:

I feel for you Sean… know the feeling all too well.

I know it’s no consolation but I take it you were fully comp and had Gap Insurance being as the bike was new?

Always go fully comp, and yep have got gap insurance - so i’ll get all my money back - but won’t be able to afford the insurance on another litre bike for a year or two so will have to downgrade to a 6/750!!

The drain is still there but the chain has definately gone - police looked in the drain aswell!

Glad you were sensible and did get the Gap Ins, at least getting the full amount back is a bonus.

Don’t be so sure your premium will jump to a silly level, do some quotes and shopping around first before you make that decision to down grade.

I sell Gap insurance to almost every customer that comes in to buy bikes over 4k - and i’ve seen tooooo many faces of people without theft cover and Gap!!

Well got no no claims now, and it was a grand fully comp before this!!

Terry uses Saga  never heard of 'em myself ;)

Sorry so hear about the theft Sean, cant understand how they got through the Almax? They are supposed to be virtually indestructable, or at least take ages to get through to nick your bike ?..they must have come up with some way of beating that now eh?..But, can you let me know what this GAP insurance is all about? i take it, its seperate to your “normal” insurance? does it cover you for the full amount of money back on your bike in a claim or something?See, my other halfs telling me to go without the tracker, (i didnt i paid another years sub cos i dont like the idea of not being covered) but he says, and yeh he may be right, if they want to get your bike, they will…my argument is, they may get your bike, but as soon as it moves, tracker SHOULD be on the phone to you asking if you know its being moved, when you say no, its bang on it, tracking it…regardless of if they will strip it and look for a tracker, lets face it, they aint gonna be in the back of a van stripping it on route, they will at least want to get it away somewhere first surely? and in that time it can be tracked…no? (i say SHOULD cos ive got a issue with them at the moment, when i had my off last week and bike was being taken home via RAC no one from tracker phoned to say it was on the move!) As for the comment on “it may be someone on this forum”?..i can well believe that THAT could be very true also…and i know for a fact that they go round our bikes at the ACE … LBrs have had indicators etc taken off their bikes while inside having a cuppa !! Others know that they had been followed home as well !! So i can well believe that they are on this forum and if you are reading this thread…BE CAREFUL cos if you or any of your scum mates are caught out…i want to be one of the first…woman or not…that screws your balls to Smileds bike while he drags you round the carpark…!!Sorry again about your bike, but i agree with Ange? try and see what you can get insurance wise first…you might get something cheaper?..cor i was upset at paying bout £275 for my bike …:w00t: (but then im an old bird)…

Sheila’s wheels for you.
