Whats the going rate at your preferred tyre garage?
Looking for some BT021’s in standard sizes and the quotes i’ve got so far differ hugely, any recommendations for good, competitively priced purveyors of rubber?

just got a quote from them, cheapest by £4, but as i spend half my time at uni in nottingham and the other half in london, i may aswell get them fitted up here rather than making an unscheduled journey down south.

most places are free fitting absorbed into the tyre price 
but if you take the wheel for them and not the bike then you get something off the price.
you can buy the tyres (pair)themselves on fleabay for approx 140-190 plus p&P but then need to pay someone to fit & balance and also they will charge for disposing of old carcasss.
thanks for all the replies guys, got a quote from a local tyre guy for £224 inc fitting, ride in, ride out. if i can get a bus to the place i’ll take the wheels and it’ll cost less!
so annoying having a fully tooled out garage at home and being at uni with next to nothing!
even simple maintenance jobs are a pain, i’ll have to take one wheel at a time on a bus to the tyre place… im too tight to pay them to take them off the bike themselves 
why not ride there and offer to remove the wheels yourself when there ? if they will let you use their tools or if you have access to tools at location …?

yeah good idea, i’ll do that! have the tools to do that which i can take with. should of thought of that myself!
