ok which is the best go-kart site locally? Really fancy a mess about, nothing too expensive or serious. Do you know ones where you can just turn up, pay and play. For all levels…
I haven’t been to any in London but few months ago I visited one on the way to Southend-on-sea. As far as I remember it was about £10 for ten minutes. The track was free most of the time during the day but in the evenings it wasn’t that easy.
I think it would be better to organise something as a LB event, most of the go-kart companies do really cool racing packages for organised groups with trophys and other stuff.
I love go-karts! The best thing is to go there by car, and then to feel the difference in driving after half an hour in a go-kart with no brake assistance, power steering, no suspension…
I went to the Raceway at Kings Cross during the week - absolutely loved it. Allegedly the fastest indoor karts in the country.
sounds good so far,any more? great idea for LB event…hey Jay/Cezar?
what’s the cost etc David?
Sounds good to me, I’ll have a word with the others.
There is one in White City, can’t remember the name though. Sound like a fun LB night out though.
I just have to admit that in my country go-karts are more fun: here they watch you, give you penalties, warnings etc. while there the staff just gives you a cart, tell you to don’t kill yourself and go outside for a fag…And then the devil awakes!
P.S. Of course I know that it’s safer, but…
Oh count me please HAHA
Yer, never been a great fan of health and safety
rottie - where you from?
Are you talking about Daytona? If so, they relocated
Nice idea! Anyone has the website or the contacts for the go-cart place in Kings Cross? Couldn’t find anything in the net about
As said RaceWay in Kings Cross is really fun and warm sue to being indoors. Ill try to find out details for it as me and some friends were planning a trip.
If an LB event comes off, count me in!!
Sandown park in Esher has [twin engine] pro karts, these are far more fun that the underpowered single engined karts at most venues, plus it is a proper large outdoor track not a concrete floored warehouse filled with piles of tyres
This sounds like a good idea, all of the places I’ve been have small 4 stroke singles, which you get used to real quick and want more power. I’d like to find a place with two stroke carts. Now they’d be a lot of fun
heey! That sounds cool.let’s go there!! We won’t even have to change the lids
I’m gonna go on this one

I know that one, that’s a wicked ride!!
Pro Karts are good for 70mph iirc, basically it is 2 of the std honda kart [lawnmower] engines, but the difference is massive - loads more fun and not the annoying long delay accelerating
2 stroke karts are mental, 100 or 125cc is plenty enough, few tracks have the noise permits to run 2 strokes, let alone are mad enough to let the public loose on them, I think the nearest I found was up in Huntingdon, 1 hr up the A1. If you have your own kart you can run 2 strokes at Blackbush. I saw 250 gearbox carts there a few years ago, utterly insane beasts . . .
