Just back from a long weekend in Germany with 10 fellow Aprilia forum members. The roads in the Rhine and Mosel region are first class. We rode about 300 miles a day on some amazing roads. We had the full mix of uber fast sweeping roads, billiard table smooth, mountain switchbacks, swooping riverside runs and lumpy bumpy nadgery roads. We also got in a lap at Nurbugring one evening (12 mins for the 1st time out). Even the motorway allowed me to achieve a new (legal for Germany) top speed on the Tuono of 161 mph.
If anyone is heading off to the Rhineland for a few days or off to the Alps and looking for a stop over I can highly recommend our host Andre at the Biker B&B: http://www.german-rhineland.com/
The road up to the village is about 4 miles of some ofd the best bends you will ever find, no traffic and no police worth mentioning.
It’s made the commute into London hell again!
